A teenage boy who went missing from Sydney‘s Sutherland Shire for almost two days has been found safe and well.

Charlie Keysell, aged 14, was found at about 2pm today after he left a home on Queens Road in Brighton-Le-Sands at around 8.40pm on Friday.

He was reported missing and police launched a major search and alerted the media.

Officers said he was safe and well.

Police had concerns for Charlie’s welfare as he is on the autism spectrum.

Officers believed he may have been trying to travel to Newcastle.

Police thanked the public and media for their cooperation.
